Argentinian Mendoza Region Wines

The Mendoza Province is located in the eastern foothills of the Argentinian Andes, where its vineyards are planted at some of the highest altitudes in the world. Historically it was known as the province of Cuyo.

The Mendoza region accounts for around 70% of all Argentina's wines, and accounts for over half of the worlds output of Malbec. The vast majority of its vineyards were grown from vines originally brought in by French immigrants.
