Calusari Pinot Noir has an aroma of strawberries and ripe red cherries, perfectly matching the delicate light ruby colour in the glass.
On the palate the wine is beautifully light with abundant flavours of juicy red Autumn fruits. It's dry, with a refreshingly gentle mouth feel, and just the right level of soft acidity to give a clean elegant finish.

This is an amazingly good value Pino Noir that drinks incredibly well, and is both light and elegant. Its part of the Calusari wine label, belonging to one of the most prominent of Romania's rising wineries on the Cramele Recas Estate. They are proficient at creating wines that should tick every box of a real wine lovers wish list.
The vines for this wine are 12 years old and sit in the hills of Viile Timisului in Romania. They are unirrigated and have a variety of soils ranging from limestone to clay.
The wine spends just 5-7 days fermenting on the skins, long enough to impart the juicy flavours, but short enough to keep the juice light coloured with low tannin levels.
Vinification takes place in stainless steel and is finished in American Oak casks.
