Negroamaro

Negroamaro is a red wine grape variety native to southern Italy. It is grown predominantly in Salento and Apulia and used heavily in blended red wines with Sangiovese or Montepulciano.

Today, the grape is exclusively grown in the Puglia region of Italy.

Negroamaro carries a dark fruits flavour, mostly blackberry, prunes and ripe plums and sweet cherries. It has an earthy back tone and a gently herbaceous finish. It is full bodied and often classed as "rustic".

San Marzano Collezione 50 Cinquanta is a deep ruby red colour, an intense and complex aroma with fruity notes of prune and red jam. Its palate, is full-bodied and soft with a long velvety aftertaste.
