Golden yellow in colour, this delicious oaked Rioja makes it presence known as soon as you breathe in its mouth-watering aromas. On the palate, it is opulent and honeyed with a delicious citrus contrast. The balance of citrus acidity and silky, almost creme caramel richness, is terrific and the finish just goes on and on.

Luis Canas make wines made with real passion. Each parcel of grapes is carefully hand sorted, supervised by Luis Canas himself - a job which at 86 years old, he is still devoted to. The end result is a range of wines which consistently deliver world class wines.
Viura is the grape variety most used in white Rioja though the blend of the two grape varieties used here brings different things to the table with the Viura imparting bright citrusy flavours and the Malvasia adding weight and balance. With 100 days spent in new American Oak barrels, this is enough to give the wine the weight and those rich vanilla and toast characteristics which are so satisfying.
