A beautiful golden colour with hints of green set this wine apart. On the nose that classic rich marmalade bouquet. The taste is intense, rich, luscious and honeyed with just the odd citrus touch that gives a complex acidity to this wine. It is full of tropical flavours and the finish just lasts and lasts - absolutely superb.
About
Peter Lehmann built up a fantastic reputation over his many years in producing wine. He was innovative and always open to new ideas and with his team of amazing wine makers he created a portfolio of ranges to display his skills.
This particular wine is the inspiration of Chief Winemaker Andrew Wigan after his visit to Chateau Yquem (one of the world's greatest sweet wines) in 1981. He saw immediately the potential in the Barossa and set up a vineyard beside the winery for the Semillon and now produces this wonderful wine.
