Séptima Obra Malbec pours a deep cherry-red with violet reflections. The nose reveals intense aromas of blackberry, plum, and black cherry, layered with hints of cocoa, vanilla, and spice.
On the palate, this wine is full-bodied and plush, with ripe dark fruit, smooth tannins, and lively acidity. Toasty oak adds texture and depth, while a long, warm finish rounds off its rich and harmonious profile.
About
Bodega Séptima crafts Obra as part of their reserva range. The name “Obra” reflects their commitment to combining top-quality fruit with thoughtful winemaking to create expressive, elegant wines.
Vineyards: The fruit is sourced from premium sites in Mendoza, including Luján de Cuyo and Valle de Uco, at altitudes of around 1,050–1,100m. The soils are varied, with alluvial and rocky compositions contributing to the wine’s structure and character.
Winemaking: Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented parcel-by-parcel. The wine is aged for around 10 months in French and American oak barrels, giving it layered structure, refined tannins, and a plush, harmonious profile.
Ideal with...
Séptima Obra Malbec pairs beautifully with grilled meats, slow-roasted lamb, barbecued beef, and mature cheeses. Its plush fruit, gentle tannins, and spice make it ideal for both special occasions and hearty everyday meals.
