This is Pinot Noir has an irresistibly easygoing Californian accent, yet with defined aromas and flavours of red cherries with hints of fragrant wood, cherry leaf and toasted coconut. Super-soft and succulent in texture, with juicy fruit, gentle acidity and soft tannin, this is effortlessly enjoyable.

About

Juggernaut is the name of Bogle's selections from particularly special vineyard sites, offering a clear step up in concentration from their regular reds, while maintaining their hallmark approachable style.

Vineyards: In a state where much vineyard land is flat or undulating and well-watered, Bogle's legendary Director of Winegrowing has used his extensive contacts to scout out special hillside vineyards, whose fruit benefits from natural concentration through better drainage, enhanced ripening due to slope angle; ameliorated by altitude. Ageing in French oak beautifully transforms this intense mountain fruit into a wine with uncommon richness and a smooth and luxurious texture.

Winemaking: Made from fruit grown in Calafornia's Russian River Valley - ideal for a delicate variety like Pinot Noir because of the cooling fogs that roll in from the Pacific every day.

Ageing for an average of 12 months in a combination of new and used French oak barrels imparts hints of vanilla, waffle cone and toasty oak. Gentle acidity and low tannins allow this expressive wine to complement a wide range of foods.
