Left Field Malbec is grown on the Te Awa vineyard located in the Gimblett Gravels, an area now famed for its exceptional red wines.

Special parcels of grapes are selected and fermented separately in open top tanks. Fermentation was managed to ensure a very gentle extraction of flavour from the grapes to create a soft, smooth red packed with flavour.

Strong, herby dishes such as herb-crusted rack of lamb and slowly cooked beef bourguignon work well as do herby vegetarian dishes and goat's cheese.
