Baglio Gibellina Passimiento is a bold and fruit-rich Sicilian red inspired by the traditional appassimento style. Made from selected grapes partially dried before fermentation, it delivers concentrated flavours of blackberry, plum and black cherry layered with spice and chocolate notes. Smooth, warming and approachable, it offers excellent richness and depth.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich aromas of blackberry, black cherry and ripe plum with hints of raisin, cocoa, sweet spice and vanilla.
Palate: Full-bodied and velvety with concentrated dark fruit flavours of blackberry, cherry compote and damson. Notes of chocolate, spice and dried fruit add richness, supported by soft tannins and balanced acidity.
Finish: Long, smooth and warming with lingering dark fruit and sweet spice complexity.

Baglio Gibellina is a contemporary Sicilian winery inspired by the island’s winemaking heritage and Mediterranean character. The estate focuses on producing expressive wines that combine ripe fruit, regional identity and approachable modern style.
Winemaking: Selected grapes are partially dried before fermentation to intensify flavour, colour and texture in the finished wine. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, followed by a period of maturation to soften tannins and integrate the wine’s rich fruit character.
Vineyards: The vineyards are located in western Sicily, where abundant Mediterranean sunshine, cooling sea breezes and mineral-rich soils create ripe, concentrated grapes with natural freshness and aromatic intensity.
