Baglio Gibellina Passimiento is the treat you've always wanted in a wine!. A shining example of how an Italian red should be. Full of those intense red fruit flavours, warming and smooth, almost huggable!.
This Passimiento has bright, intense red fruits on the nose displaying an abundance of red berries. The palate shows plumbs, red cherries and raisins, carrying a warmth in its full-body, with harmonious acidity and smooth and elegant tannins.
Baglio Gibellina is Sicilian based, making wines using traditional grapes from the area, and for their Passimiento they use Nero d'Avola and Frappato grapes.
About
Baglio Gibellina is situated in picturesque Sicily where its vineyards are surrounded by the hills of Salemi and Santa Ninfa. Frappato grapes are harvested as soon as they reach maturation while the Nero d’Avola grapes are left on the vines for a light withering and for natural dehydration to occur. Fermented in steel tanks there is no oak aging involved in these wines.
