Furmint Wine

Furmint wine has its origins in the Tokaj region of Hungary, where it has been cultivated for centuries.

The grape variety is known for its high acidity and ability to produce wines with complex flavors and aromas. Furmint wines are typically full-bodied with a distinctive mineral character and notes of ripe fruits, honey, and spices. The high acidity gives the wines a refreshing and crisp taste, making them suitable for aging.

While Hungary is the most famous producer of Furmint wines, other countries such as Slovakia, Austria, and Slovenia also cultivate this grape variety. These countries have similar terroirs to the Tokaj region, allowing them to produce wines with comparable quality and flavour profiles.
