Arinto Wine

Arinto is a white wine grape that originated in Portugal. It is primarily grown in the regions of Vinho Verde and Bucelas, where it has been cultivated for centuries. The exact origins of the Arinto grape are unknown, but it is believed to have been introduced to Portugal during the Roman era.

The grape is known for its high acidity and vibrant citrus flavors, making it ideal for producing crisp and refreshing white wines. Arinto wines often exhibit notes of lemon, lime, and green apple, with a zesty acidity that gives them a lively and refreshing taste profile.

Due to its ability to retain acidity even in warm climates, Arinto thrives in regions with a maritime influence and cool temperatures, such as Vinho Verde and Bucelas. These areas provide the perfect conditions for Arinto grapes to develop their characteristic acidity and fruity flavours.
