Primitivo Wine

Primitivo is a rich, generous red wine best known for ripe blackberry, plum and black-cherry flavours, often accompanied by spice, chocolate and a warming finish.

Most Primitivo comes from Puglia in southern Italy, where the warm Mediterranean climate helps the grapes achieve deep colour, full flavour and naturally soft, approachable tannins. Styles range from smooth everyday wines to concentrated Primitivo di Manduria and oak-aged Riserva bottlings.
