Unfiltered Beers and Ciders

Unfiltered beer does not undergo extra filtration before it is bottled, so it is usually less clear than filtered beer, often appearing hazy.

The process of filtering a beer removes particles that cause cloudiness and may cause sediment. This process does however remove some of the taste and mouthfeel, so unfiltered beers are gaining in popularity due to their greater taste profiles.
