Tasting Notes

This is very pleasing on the eye, give it a swirl and watch the dark ruby red colours jump out at you (not literally I hope, we dont like spillage!), this is a young and lively wine. But don't be fooled by its youth, it still has that dark deep intensity you would expect. On the nose you get an almost candied raspberry with smoky dark plums aroma, while the palate gives of a very vibrant and polished feel. Flavours of ripe black cherry and a hint of toffee with an almost leather like quality about it. This will finish with a smooth smokiness and a need for more.

About

This is the only wine made by Betz vineyards where they blend both Bordeaux and Rhone varietals together, this is a lower priced and more value orientated wine to some of their bigger wines. Hence the Cuvée Frangin is often referred to as the "little brother".
