Cune Rioja Crianza is a deep burgundy colour and very modern in style. Its bright, fresh and rich in ripe red fruits. Its 12 months in oak is just enough to give it a little weight whilst still retaining the fruity lightness through to the finish.
Produced by the historic Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España (CVNE), it reflects traditional Rioja winemaking, combining aged Tempranillo grapes with careful oak maturation for depth and elegant smoothness.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Ripe red berries, cherries and subtle hints of vanilla and spice from oak ageing, with a delicate floral undertone.
Palate: Medium-bodied and smooth, showcasing fresh red fruit, gentle spice, and soft, integrated tannins that provide structure without overpowering the fruit.
Finish: Balanced and lingering, with subtle oak, a touch of spice, and persistent red fruit notes.

Cune Crianza Rioja is produced by Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España (CVNE), one of Rioja’s oldest and most respected wineries. Founded in 1879, CVNE is renowned for combining tradition with modern techniques to craft consistently high-quality wines.
Due to a quirkiness in the lettering of the 'V' in CVNE it has commonly been pronounced CUNE.
Winemaking: The Tempranillo grapes are hand-harvested and fermented under controlled temperatures. The wine is then aged for 12 months in American oak barrels, allowing integration of oak flavours and gentle tannins.
Vineyards: The grapes come from Rioja’s well-drained clay and limestone soils, benefiting from a continental climate with warm days and cool nights. This terroir gives the wine its balance of fruit intensity, freshness, and structure.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with roasted meats, grilled vegetables, tapas, mild cheeses, and hearty stews. Also excellent with charcuterie or classic Spanish dishes like lamb or chorizo.
