About
Sent into space in 1963 by the French space programme, Felicette was the first cat to journey into space and survive, She is now immortalised on this wine from the Pays d’Oc in the south of France that bears her name. Grenache is a grape variety indigenous to this region, and this is a lovely example.
The label bears a picture of Felicette looking up at the moon along with Felix, the cat who was the original choice to make the journey, but at the time of departure was nowhere to be found, so Felicette was sent instead. We think this is why Felix has a more wistful look on his face!

We tried this lovely red Grenache with pot-roasted chicken, and it went beautifully. Would also be great with pasta in a rich tomato sauce and also with cheese.
