About

Nuits Saint Georges is one of the best known appellations in Burgundy. Located to the north of this great wine producing district, it is part of the Cotes de Nuits region as well as being a beautiful village. This area is known for producing some of the best wines in the world with well-known names like Gevrey Chambertin, Vougeot and Vosne Romanee amongst the appellations. Domaine de la Romanee Conti (DRC) is also just a few kilometres north of Gevrey Chambertin. With DRC wines costing as much for a case as a new car, it is easy to see why these wines are so revered around the world.

Morin Pere et Fils have been producing fine wines since 1822 and are still based in Nuits Saint Georges. They were one of the leading lights in placing wines from Burgundy on the world stage. In 1987, they became part of the Boisset family, a brand who today are centre-stage for some of the best and most highly awarded wines in France.

Vintage wines like this are extremely hard to find. To the best of our knowledge (and after extensive research), no other wine merchant in the UK is offering a 1945 Nuits Saint Georges. The price reflects the level which, were it higher, would increase the cost of this bottle by four or five times.
