A beautiful bronze amber colour with rich stewed fruits and raisins on the nose and palate, this is viscous, jewel of a wine which slides down effortlessly leaving you with a warm glow and coating the mouth with a rich, long aftertaste.

With very similar terroir to Chateaneuf du Pape, this area is perfect for the production of dessert wines. Large stones or 'galets' pepper the vineyards, absorbing heat from the sun during the day and slowly releasing their warmth at night.
Made with Grenache Blanc, Cazes Ambre Rivesaltes is fermented at a slightly higher temperature before grape spirit is added to stop the fermentation, leaving a 'vin doux naturel' or naturally sweet wine. The addition of a spirit makes it a fortified wine, though it still only comes in at around 16% abv.
