Boccantino Primitivo is a dark red colour with purple hints. The wine has a complex bouquet with red fruits aroma and spicy notes. In the mouth, it is warm and intense, full bodied, full of red and dark berry fruits. To finish, this wine is smooth and lingering.
Boccantino have blended 70% Primitivo with 30% Susumaniello, which are two grapes native to the Puglia region of Italy, delivering a delightful young, dry and fruity red wine.
About
Wine making: The grapes are harvested by hand during the second half of September. The fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature between 16°C and 18°C. Part of the wine ages in stainless steel tanks and another part in big oak barrels. The blend undergoes a final aging in bottle for 3 months.
