Viña Falernia Carmenere/Syrah Gran Reserva is a full-bodied red blend, is richly concentrated and luscious, with black pepper and dark chocolate on the nose and red fruit on the palate.
With a third of the Carménère grapes dried in the Amarone style, this lends succulence, expressive floral notes and a little leather to the palate.
The wine has great body, with soft tannins on the palate and a long, fruity, intense finish.
Viña Falernia is located in the Elqui Valley in Chile, and has built a reputation as a top quality winery, and this Gran Reserva is a perfect demonstration of that reputation.

Vineyards: Grapes from 3 different vineyards of the Elqui Valley has been hand-picked, de-stemmed and crushed separately.
Winemaking: The grapes of the Syrah and the Carmenere are kept separate, They are crushed and 40% of the juice is aged in barrels for 6 months, the rest in stainless steel. The wines are then blended and kept in stainless steel for a further 3 months prior to bottling.
