The nose opens with notes of kirsch and spices. On the palate, the wine is fresh, radiant and powerful with beautiful length and firm, chiseled tannins.

About

Chateau de Marsannay is a family owned winery located about 15 kilometers south of Dijon. With an impressive array of red and white Burgundies, they have around 40 hectares of organically cultivated vines and have a healthy approach towards ecology, biodiversity and the overall improvement of their carbon footprint. Made with 100% Pinot Noir grapes, Gevrey Chambertin is one of the biggest appellations and this wine is possibly the best and most refined example we have ever tasted.

The traditional Boeuf Bourgogne is a clear winner with this tasty Red Burgundy, though we would also recommend roast pork, and chicken or pasta dishes with rich (cheesy) sauces.
