Tasting Notes

Tussock Jumper Carmenere is a ruby red colour, with a palate of black & red fruit flavours with hints of tobacco. The wine is round with soft tannins and well-balanced acidity.

About

Vineyards: From vineyards in the Vale de Colchagua, under the influence of the Andes Mountains.  The environment has cool nights that set in and allow for a day to night difference of up to 20 °C (68°F), ideal for fruit concentration in the grape.

Winemaking: The grapes are harvested in April, and are hand picked in small trays, preselected in the vineyard according to quality classification and ripeness.

Lamb, stewing beef, pork sausage, chicken, duck, rabbit, wild boar, venison.

Tussock Jumper Pinot Grigio (Wolf)
This Pinot Grigio is very light in colour, light in the mouth, and beautifully flavoured by apple and pineapple with a smooth long finish

This full bodied Tussock Jumper Wild Boar Merlot is fresh, fruity, light on tannins and has a gentle and spicy finish with a delightful red and black berry aroma

Tussock Jumper Verdejo
Tussock Jumper Verdejo shows bright golden yellow, with greenish hints in colour, and with aromas and flavours of fresh mown grass, fresh mineral citrus, and white pepper, with hints of fennel and liquorice

Tussock Jumper Tempranillo
Tempranillo with nice medium weight palate, with rich fruit flavours and soft tannins, long on the finish

Tussock Jumper Shiraz
Beautiful deep purple colour, fresh cherry sweetness to start and a spicy pepper finish to this nice meaty Shiraz
