About
Viticulture: The Jacques Veritier wines are produced exclusively for Enotria Winecellars in the vineyards of south west and southern France. Every December our buying team visits these regions and specially selects and blends the best lots available to produce the Jacques Veritier Blanc and Rouge.
Winemaking: The wines are made using the very latest winemaking techniques to produce modern, forward fruity wines, designed for immediate drinking. The date of harvesting is crucial and will affect the balance of the wine. The harvest is picked by hand and carried with the greatest delicacy and speed to the cellar. The grapes must arrive at the cellar whole, and in the shortest possible time if oxidation is to be avoided. The crop is always prone to damage at this stage. The alcoholic fermentation involves the transformation of sugar into alcohol through natural yeast cells. These yeasts are found on the skins of the berries. Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks to retains aromas and freshness. The wine then sees no oak ageing and is bottled for early consumption.
