The Trapiche Terroir Series’ concept, which started with the 2003 harvest, turned into a story. Each year Trapiche’s Chief Winemaker, Daniel Pi, and his team, select the three best Malbec wines from exceptional vineyards, to communicate Trapiche’s essence: the richness of diversity.

There are hundreds of grape growers working closely with Trapiche's viticultural team to complement the production of their own vineyards. The possibility of obtaining our ultra-premium grapes from such a diversity of places is one of our most valuable assets.

This concept pays tribute to the grape growers who deliver their premium grapes and give identity to the wines, resulting in some exception wines, gathering remarkable recognition. In 2015 this wine was chosen as 'Best Malbec in the World'.

The fruit for this Malbec is hand harvested in 20 kg plastic crates, sorted by hand on tables in the winery, so as to select only the healthiest bunches.

Grapes are destemmed with a further berry selection process to make sure only the best grpaes make the grade.

Fermantation is carried out in concrete vats with wild yeast, followed by a natural Malolactic fermentation and subsequent aging in french and american oak for 18 months.
