Tasting Notes

Brilliant dark ruby colour. On the nose, aromas of red fruits pair subtly with a touch of spice. Cherries and currants dominate the palate which finishes with soft tannins and a pleasant minerality.

About

Résonance is the first venture outside of Burgundy for Louis Jadot, who are now creating expressive wines from Oregon, with a Burgundian feel. The Willamette Valley Pinot Noir from Résonance is sourced from the Résonance and Découverte vineyards as well as top vineyards in the Willamette Valley. The wine is aged for 13 months in custom, handcrafted French oak barrels (20% new), which have a tight grain adding more subtle characters than American Oak. In fact, these barrels are chosen for the right tightness of grain as well as the soil in which the oak grew. The wine is allowed to rest quietly (racking maybe only once) until it reaches its purest expression and is only then released.

This is a fairly big Pinot Noir which is great with terrines, game, red meats (especially roast lamb) and casseroles.
