This Rioja presents a Clean, bright Ruby red color with violet hues.
It is fresh, medium intensity, where aromas of black fruit come forward with hints of red fruit, balsamic, violets and spicy aromas just behind.
On the palate this Rioja is intense, fresh with balanced acidity and a moderate presence of tannins from the grape and the barrel. Chocolate and coffee come through in the finish.

Seleccion Especial is a wine that springs from the history of Rioja Alta, where in the past, you could find different variettes together in the same vineyard plot: garnachas, tempranillos, gracianos, mazuelos.
In hormage to this tradition Rodolfo created this wine with ist own style and personality.
Vinification takes place separately in different tanks, Tempranillo at 27ºC and Garnacha at 24ºC.
The fermentation process takes 20 days after which the Rioja is aged for 8 months in American barrels to give complexity and structure.
