Goats Do Roam red is bright ruby in colour, with aromas ot red and dark fruits and a little vanilla spice. Its a fantastically juicy blend of five grape varieties delivering flavours heavy with ripe blackcurrant and plum, supported by an array of other berry flavours. The wine is medium to full bodied with good tannins, low acidity and more vanilla spice showing in the finish, which is soft and lingering.
With its well integrated oak, its smooth tannins and its gentle acidity this South African wine is beautifully balanced and fruity flavoured to near perfection.

The wine is from the Western Cape area of South Africa and is made from five gape varieties; 58% Shiraz, 21% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre, 4% Petit Sirah, 2% Carignan
During the wine making, each grape variety was processed and fermented separately.
The grapes were destemmed and lightly crushed into stainless-steel tanks. The must was inoculated with Rhône yeasts and pump-overs were done up to four times a day during fermentation.
After alcoholic fermentation, the wines were racked to tanks and barrels for malolactic fermentation. It was then matured in a combination of tanks and barrels prior to blending, stabilization and bottling.
