Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Italian white has an intense straw yellow colour with greenish reflections.
On the palate it is delicate with floral notes and hints of citrus fruits and yellow flesh fruits.
Overall a fresh, mineral, very well structured and well balanced wine.
About
Oropasso is made from a blend of two white grapes in a 60/40 ratio. It uses Garganega, a very traditional Italian grape, and Chardonnay.
Fermentation lasts 15 days in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 13-14° C. The ageing of the wine is quite lengthy, leaving the wine to rest on the fine lees for about five months in stainless steel tanks, hence no oak aging.
