Azamore Single Estate is a unique blend of red Portuguese grapes that gives this wine a rich palate with an abundance of delicious soft dark red and plummy fruit tones.
The flavours give way to soft, velvety tannins on the finish while the French and American oak ageing adds a spicy smoothness.
About
The blend may vary slightly from year to year, but is mostly Syrah/Shiraz, Touriga Franca, and Alicante Bouschet.
All grape varieties are fermented in separate stainless steel tanks for up to 10 days at 22ºC-24ºC. The must is left on the skins before being pressed and going through malolactic fermentation.
Finally Azamor is aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak.
