Brief Description

Tasting Notes

A straw yellow wine with a slight green hint to it. This has some yummy aromas of pineapple and honeydew melon. On the palate there is a lovely exotic blend of vibrant mango, papaya and green melons. As excepted with this wine has a nice tangy zip to it with finishes long and beautiful.

About

The first crop of Roussanne from the 2000 vintage was covered in a sea of tiny `Money Spiders`. Popular belief is that kindness to these little creatures will bring good luck, hopefully in the form of money. Being nature – lovers and slightly superstitious, Chester refrained from sending the spiders to their death. Hence the first release of Roussanne was from the 2001 vintage, by which time the `Money Spiders` had learned their lesson and moved from the vineyard to the surrounding bushland.

Ideal with...

Pate, roast chicken, pork, veal, cream sauces, spicy flavors, Asian cuisine, and with a vast array of different soft and hard cheeses.
