D'Arenberg came into being in 2009 when 12 of Australia’s oldest family owned, multi-generational wine businesses came together to form Australia’s First Families of Wine.
Based in Australia, McLaren Vale is home to some of the oldest vines in the country, dating as far back as 1850. Best known for Shiraz, McLaren Vale also excels in the production of ultra-premium Grenache and Cabernet.
The Mediterranean climate, huge array of soil types and proximity to the ocean with the resultant cooling sea breezes make it an idyllic location for wine grape growing.
All d'Arenberg estate and leased vineyards are NASAA Certified for organic and biodynamic processes. Their wines have been basket pressed with all red ferments foot trod during fermentation.
