Vina Tarapaca was founded in the Maipo Valley, in the foothills of the Andes, in 1874 by Francisco de Rojas y Salamanca. It is now part of VSPT, Argentina and Chilies largest wine exporter.
Tarapaca wines are created under their master winemaker, Sebastián Ruiz, who joined them in 2014. They are working to create sustainable and biodiverse vineyards.
The winery is located in Isla de Maipo, which is considered the finest and most traditional area for the production of fine wines in Chile. In total it has 611 hectares of vineyards surrounded by natural barriers.
