Excelsior Estate is located in Robertson around 100 kilometres east of Cape Town, South Africa. It has been owned by the De Wet family since 1859 and now spans 230 hectares.
The winery focus on 4 main varietals, Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Savignon, Cgarsonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
The climate, whilst hot, is moderated by the sea breeze allowing for slow ripening and retention of the primary fruit aromatics and bright acidity.
