Starting as Ste. Michelle Vintners, this winery produced its first wine, a European styled Cabernet Sauvignon, some 50 years ago. The grapes used where from the Yakima Valley in Washington state.
It was the release that inspired today’s thriving Washington wine industry which is today the second largest wine producing area in the USA.
