Cserszegi Fuszeres Wine

Cserszegi Fuszeres is a white wine grape variety that originated in Hungary. It is a cross between the Irsai Oliver and Gewurztraminer grape varieties. This hybrid was created by Dr. Jozsef Csizmazia in the 1960s in the town of Cserszegtomaj, hence its name. Cserszegi Fuszeres is known for its aromatic qualities and distinctive taste profile.

The taste profile of Cserszegi Fuszeres wine is characterized by its intense floral and fruity aromas. It often exhibits notes of rose petals, lychee, tropical fruits, and citrus. The wine is typically off-dry or slightly sweet, with a medium to high acidity that adds freshness to the overall taste. It has a light to medium body and a smooth texture, making it an enjoyable wine to drink.

Cserszegi Fuszeres grapes thrive in cooler climates and can be found in several regions across Hungary. The best areas for cultivating this grape variety include Csopak, Badacsony, and Balatonfüred-Csopak.
