Grenache blanc is a variety of white wine grape that is predominantly grown in France and Spain. It is belived to have orinated in Spain, before being carried into France.
Although not well known by wine enthusiasts, it is the 5th most widely grown white grape in France.
When drinking Grenache blanc look for citrus and herbaceous notes, low acidity and a lengthy finish. Most typically it is blended with other grapes such as in the French Rhone region wines, and in wines from Navarra and Terra Alta in Spain.
