The colour is an attractive salmon pink, with the nose offering tantalising aromas of strawberry and peach. The palate is luscious and fruity showing similar fruit flavours before a fresh, well-balanced and succulent finish.

About

Vina Echeverria is a family winery which was founded in 1930 and is still owned and run by the Echeverria family. With their heritage coming well and truly from agriculture, their farming background goes back centuries. They benefit today from the huge investments they have made, pouring the proceeds from their efforts straight back into the business resulting in a modern, state of the art winery which has been awarded a Sustainable Winery status by Wines of Chile.

The vineyard for this rosé is located 340 miles south of Santiago, a region which enjoys a lot of sun and cooler nights - ideal conditions for Pinot Noir. After harvest, the grapes are left on the skin for 8 hours to give the salmon pink colour. The fruit is then gently pressed and cooled to separate the sediment before being fermented in tanks for 25 days at between 13 and 18 degrees. No oak is used in order to preserve the honest purity of the grapes.

This wine reminds us of hot, sunny days. It is great just as a delicious drink and works very well with cold foods, antipasti, charcuterie and salads.
