Tasting Notes
This is a very fresh and light style of Prosecco. Not too high in alcohol, it is soft with floral aromas and flavours of citrus fruits, pears and a touch of sweet melon.
About
With five centuries of wine production, Bisol's roots go back a long, long way. There are historical references which date Bisol's roots right back to 1542 with documents showing grape growing and wine production by the same family. Twenty one generations later, the winery is still family owned with the company run by Antonio Bisol as president and other members of the family having different responsibilities. With some of the richest land in the most magnificent setting, Bisol manage every aspect of Prosecco production, from selection of the plots for the vines to the bottling of the finished product. Their continued aim is to produce the best and 'gain the same prestige as champagne'.
Unlike champagne which is fermented in the bottle, Bel Star Organic Prosecco is fermented in stainless steel tanks. These are sealed to enable the carbon dioxide to infuse with the wine and give it the all important fizz. It is then filtered and cooled to minus 2 degrees for a period of 10 days before being bottled.
