Tomintoul 36 year old Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky

As rare as it gets, we have what are probably the last two bottles of this rare gem. From a single hog's head, there were just 215 bottles produced. Distilled in 1973, just eight years after the distillery was officially founded, it was bottled in 2010.

About

In times past, this area was a notorious haunt of moonshine. Most of the distillers are now gone and it wasn't until the 1960's that Tomintoul was revived as a legal distillery. So officially, Tomintoul was founded in 1965. Today, they produce over three million litres.

Douglas Laing were founded in 1948 and specialise in selecting the finest and rarest Scotch Whisky in barrel and ageing them before release. They are bottled and released at their higher cask strength, without filtering or colouring.
