About
Mauro Osvaldo was founded in 1924 and is still a family winery run by Giuseppe Mauro (who is the winemaker and oenologist) and his sister Rossana. Based in Dronero in Piemonte, their vineyards are all in the Maira valley, a beautiful area which is just 30 miles from the French border.
Please note that there will almost certainly be sediment present in this Barolo so the bottle should be left to stand for at least 24 hours before opening, then opened and decanted very carefully.
