Baron de Badassiere Syrah is lighter than other Syrah wines, being medium-bodied. This does not translate to flavour however, with the wine retaining the main characteristics of Syrah, namely spicy, pepperiness with red fruits such as plums, damsons and cherries.

Producing wines which can vary hugely in style and taste, Syrah or Shiraz as it's known in Australia often conjures up images of big, powerful red wines. With careful vinification however, it doesn't have to be a fruit bomb and can be drunk with almost anything.

Hailing from the Languedoc, this is Syrah benefits from both the warm Mediterranean climate and cool coastal breezes which contribute towards the fresher, lighter style of this delicious wine.
