About
Saint Julien is an appellation and a village in Bordeaux, located on the left bank of the Gironde river. It sits right in the heart of some of the best wine making 'terrroir' in France with Saint Estephe, Pauillac, and Margaux as it's neighbours. This area is synonymous with fine wine and great vintages, with some of the world's most expensive wines coming from this area. Our Views
Tasting note... light in colour with some sediment (as you would expect from a wine of this age). A great nose of sweet cherries and raspberries is followed by fresh, dry raspberries on the palate, light tannins and a really juicy (clean) finish. For a 1969 vintage wine, this is an astounding result and would be a delight for a lover of vintage claret.
