Tasting Notes
The colour is pale gold with green edges. The nose is fresh, clean, with white peaches and lemons to the fore and hints of vanilla. On the palate, there are light buttery tones with depth showing melons, pears and creamy meringues. The fresh acidity delivers a beautiful balance and a lasting mouth-filling flavour.
About
The vineyards lie in Lujan de Cuyo and Valle de Uco at 3200 feet above sea level where the cool nights maintain the crisp acidity. Harvested at night the wines undergo a long second fermentation before being aged in French oak, old and new. The final blend combines the juice vinified in stainless steel wines with the oak aged.
Commonly associated with Burgundy, Chardonnay is one of the most popular varieties. Vina Cobas Felino Chardonnay has the class and finesse of a great Burgundy whilst retaining its own fruit-driven characteristics.
