Collefrisio is a modern Abruzzo estate founded by third-generation winemakers focused on combining tradition with contemporary winemaking. The winery is known for expressive, precise wines that highlight native grape varieties such as Pecorino.
Winemaking: Grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a brief cold maceration before controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. This approach preserves the grape’s natural aromatic intensity and fresh, zesty character with no oak influence.
Vineyards: The vineyards are located in Abruzzo, between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic Sea. This unique position creates cooling breezes and strong diurnal shifts, helping retain acidity while developing ripe, expressive fruit flavours.
