Càrn Mòr Williamson 9 Year Old 2015 is a striking expression from the Strictly Limited series, offering a smoky, sherried take on classic Islay whisky. Distilled at Laphroaig and matured for nine years in sherry hogsheads, the result is a dram that balances coastal peat fire with luscious dried fruit and rich sweetness.
It pours a deep amber colour. On the nose, you'll find smouldering campfire, sea spray and spiced dried fruit. The palate delivers bold peat smoke layered with treacle toffee, stewed plums and dark chocolate, while the finish is long, warming and slightly medicinal, with lingering sherry richness.

Drinking
This whisky is best sipped neat or with a small splash of water to coax out the dried fruit and sherry?cask warmth. It also stands up well over a large ice cube if you want to mellow the smoke slightly. A dram for contemplative sipping, particularly suited to lovers of smoky, sherried whiskies.

The “Williamson” name is a homage to **Bessie Williamson**, a notable figure in Laphroaig’s history. This particular whisky was distilled at **Laphroaig Distillery** on Islay, then matured in sherry hogsheads for 9 years, bringing together the distillery’s signature peat smoke with a rich sherry profile.
