Lake Chalice was established in Marlborough and is known for producing expressive, fruit-focused wines that reflect New Zealand's distinctive growing conditions. The Nest range is designed to offer accessible, enjoyable wines with clear varietal character.
This Merlot brings together ripe plum and dark berry flavours with subtle oak influence and a smooth, supple texture. Its gentle tannins make it an appealing alternative to firmer Cabernet Sauvignon or more heavily structured red wines.
It is particularly well suited to customers who enjoy a rich impression of fruit but prefer their reds mellow and easy to drink, rather than powerful or noticeably drying.
