Bodegas Altolandon produces wines with a strong focus on organic, sustainable, and biodynamic practices. Mil Historias is made from approximately 15-year-old vineyards, highlighting the purity of fruit and the expression of La Mancha terroir.
Vineyards: The grapes are hand-harvested from high-altitude vineyards (around 1,100?m), ensuring even ripening and naturally balanced acidity. Organic and biodynamic practices enhance the soil and vine health, contributing to the wine’s complexity.
Winemaking: After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place in third-use 225-litre French oak barrels, followed by malolactic fermentation for about four months. The wine is aged for four months in a combination of 50% oak barrels and 50% clay amphorae, producing layered texture and refined character.
