Château Cissac is a long-established wine estate in the Haut-Médoc, on Bordeaux's famous Left Bank. The château developed a strong reputation under Louis Vialard, whose family's involvement has continued through subsequent generations.
Its wines follow the traditional Médoc approach, with Cabernet Sauvignon providing the principal structure and ageing potential, supported by Merlot for fruit and roundness and Petit Verdot for additional colour, spice and complexity.
Château Cissac Médoc Cru Bourgeois is a particularly appealing expression of this classic Bordeaux style. Rather than relying on excessive ripeness or heavy oak, it combines dark fruit, freshness and firm tannins with the cedar and savoury character associated with traditionally made Left Bank wines.

Winemaking: The blend comprises 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. The wine is subsequently matured for 16 to 18 months in oak barrels, approximately 30% of which are new French oak. This extended maturation contributes cedar, spice and subtle toasted complexity while helping integrate the wine's tannins.
