Terre Allegre Sangiovese IGT Puglia is an excellent-value choice for anyone who enjoys fresh, food-friendly Italian reds but prefers a softer, fruitier style. Ripe cherry and red berry flavours are joined by gentle jammy notes, smooth tannins and enough acidity to keep the wine lively and balanced.
At just 12% ABV, it's light enough for relaxed drinking but has enough fruit and freshness for the dinner table. If you want an inexpensive everyday Italian red for pasta, pizza or an uncomplicated midweek meal, this is exactly the sort of bottle Terre Allegre does well.

If you enjoy Sangiovese but sometimes find the firmer tannins and savoury character of Chianti a little too serious, Terre Allegre offers a much softer and more fruit-led alternative. This isn't trying to be a complex Tuscan red; it's an inexpensive, easy-drinking Sangiovese designed for pasta, pizza and relaxed everyday meals.

It's particularly well suited to Sangiovese drinkers who prefer the grape's softer and fruitier side rather than firm tannins, pronounced oak or complex savoury character. At 12% ABV, it's also lighter and easier-going than many richer southern Italian reds.
If you're looking for the structure, complexity or ageing potential of a more serious Sangiovese, this isn't that wine. Terre Allegre's job is much simpler: approachable fruit, gentle tannins and very good everyday value.
Terre Allegre is made entirely from Sangiovese grown in Puglia. The vineyards have deep, medium-textured soils over a tufaceous limestone substrate, with mild winters and hot, dry summers.
After gentle pressing, fermentation and maceration take place for around eight to ten days at a controlled temperature below 25°C. This provides enough extraction for colour and flavour without pushing the wine towards a heavily structured style.
The wine is then stored in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks rather than matured in oak. That keeps the emphasis on Sangiovese's fresh red fruit and allows the soft, velvety tannins and lightly jammy character to remain at the centre of the wine.
This is an easy wine to put on the table with everyday food. Try it with tomato-based pasta, lasagne, pizza, meatballs, roast chicken, grilled meats or fresh and medium-aged cheeses.
Serve at around 14–16°C. It doesn't need decanting and is ready to enjoy from opening.
